The Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) has announced that its ongoing Train 7 Project will significantly increase the country’s liquefied natural gas production capacity from 22 million metric tons (MT) to 30MT annually. This development was disclosed by NLNG’s Managing Director, Dr. Philip Mshelbila, during a recent visit to the project site on Bonny Island, Rivers State, by the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), Felix Omatsola Ogbe.<\/p>\n
Dr. Mshelbila, represented by NLNG\u2019s Deputy Managing Director, Mr. Olakunle Osobu, emphasized the project’s positive impact on Nigeria\u2019s economy through job creation and sustainable development. He highlighted that this expansion would reinforce Nigeria’s position as a key player in the global energy sector.<\/p>\n
During the visit, Ogbe praised NLNG’s commitment to enhancing local content in the Train 7 Project. He lauded the collaborative efforts between NLNG and NCDMB, stating that the project exemplifies public-private partnerships that promote industrial growth in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
