The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has renewed its efforts to combat counterfeit drugs in Nigeria by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Counter Terrorism Centre. This collaboration, announced by NAFDAC\u2019s Director-General, Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, is aimed at curbing the distribution of counterfeit medicines that contribute to criminal activities such as terrorism, banditry, and violent extremism.<\/p>\n

The MoU is part of the National Action Plan and aims to reduce youth deaths and prevent the misuse of hazardous chemicals in the development of weapons of mass destruction. The partnership is expected to enhance the management of chemical threats and prevent their use for malicious purposes.<\/p>\n
