The APC North Central Forum has denounced the endorsement of national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, calling it a betrayal of the region’s interests.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued in Jos, Plateau State capital, forum chairman Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga alleged that some individuals and groups are working against the region’s bid for the national chairmanship position.<\/p>\n
Zazzaga emphasized the North Central region’s significant contributions to the APC’s success since 2015, including President Bola Tinubu’s emergence in 2023 and the region’s five governorship seats.<\/p>\n
He dismissed the endorsement of Ganduje by former Senate President Ameh Ebute and Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule as laughable and inconsequential.<\/p>\n
Zazzaga criticized Ebute as a spent force with no relevance in his state and accused Sule of betrayal, giving him an ultimatum to apologize to the people of North Central within a week.<\/p>\n
The forum vowed not to compromise on its quest for the national chairmanship position, which it believes is rightfully theirs.<\/p>\n
Zazzaga also dismissed the Senior Special Assistant to Ganduje, Chief Oliver Okpala, as uninformed about the region’s struggles.<\/p>\n
