Despite securing significant shares\u201420% for himself and 51% for Dangote\u2014their vision was thwarted by a government decision he described as \u201cutterly obnoxious.\u201d Yet, Dangote\u2019s determination never wavered, leading to today\u2019s historic achievement.<\/p>\n

Otedola highlighted the stark contrast between Dangote\u2019s success and the dormant state of the Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries, which had failed to live up to their promises despite substantial investments. \u201cWhile the Kaduna and Port Harcourt refineries have remained dormant, their promise unfulfilled despite billions of dollars spent on so-called turn-around maintenance, you have achieved what many said was impossible.\u201d<\/p>\n

The message praised Dangote for not only overcoming skepticism but also for ending Nigeria\u2019s dependency on foreign fuel. \u201cYou have liberated us from the chains of economic dependence that have held this nation back for far too long,\u201d Otedola declared.
