The altered price structure now requires prospective students to pay N240,000, up from N65,000 previously, while returning students must pay N180,000 plus additional levies.<\/p>\n<p>The President of the Student Union Government (SUG), Hammed Akinjetan, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the fee increase, calling it unjust and excessively demanding. He has assured his peers that the SUG is working hard to address this issue and find a solution that meets their needs.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, the university administration, led by Chief Dapo Oke, the Registrar, defends the tuition fee hikes by pointing to the prevailing economic conditions in the country and a trend of fee increases among universities in the region. They contend that these adjustments are necessary to maintain academic quality and meet essential operational expenses.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the administration&#8217;s rationale, students have organized peaceful protests to express their dissatisfaction with the fee hikes.
