The governing All Progressive Congress APC has issued notice of meeting of National Caucus and national Executive Commitee NEC to hold on September 11 and 12 respectively<\/p>\n
It will be recall that National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has said President Bola Tinubu, former President Muhammadu Buhari and all the APC governors were expected at the party\u2019s NEC meeting slated for 12th of September 2024.
\nSpeaking with members of the Kano State correspondents\u2019 Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), the former governor of Kano State, said their attendance would demonstrate unity and a clear commitment to the party.<\/p>\n
He said the gathering was crucial for the party\u2019s decision-making process, and their presence would indicate the significance of the discussions.
\n\u201cIn a nutshell, we have so many things that are coming up. We have the NEC meeting for which every quarter we are supposed to meet.
\n\u201cSo very soon, specifically on the 12th of September, we will hold the NEC meeting which Mr president and governors and former president will also be there.
\n\u201cAlso we will be approaching so many things that our national working committee has undertaken to be confirmed by the NEC meeting.\u201d<\/p>\n
On the upcoming governorship elections in Edo and Ondo States, Ganduje expressed optimism that the APC would sweep the polls in the two states.
\n\u201cLet\u2019s start with Edo, which is coming on the 21st of September. Well, I believe our campaign is with high spirit.We are getting ready for that election.
\n\u201cWe believe we will be able to recover our state because it was an APC state but because of internal bubbles we lost it to PDP but we are sure we will recover that state.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor Ondo State, it\u2019s already an APC state and the former governor when he died with a number of problems, we were able to resolve those issues. We conducted primaries, we succeeded in getting the person that they want.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are also getting ready for that election which is coming up in November. If we win Edo we will be getting an additional state for the party. It will be 21 states out of 36.
\n\u201cNext year there will be Anambra, which has been a state governed by APGA and for many years but we have introduced a new scheme.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
