Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has charged 33 newly appointed local government supervisory councillors and special assistants to serve with transparency, integrity, credibility, and commitment.<\/p>\n
At an induction workshop in Ibadan, Makinde urged the appointees to support the administration’s efforts to deliver quality services and extend democracy’s benefits to the people.<\/p>\n
Represented by Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters Ademola Ojo, Makinde emphasized the importance of being agents of change and striving for excellence in their duties.<\/p>\n
The governor noted that Oyo State has made significant progress under his leadership, becoming a frontrunner in peace, progress, and tranquility.<\/p>\n
Makinde emphasized that the appointees’ roles are crucial in sustaining this momentum, urging them to utilize the training modules designed to enhance their understanding of governance.<\/p>\n
In a related development, the Oyo State government plans to establish Integrity Clubs in all public schools to promote sustainable socio-economic development.<\/p>\n
The initiative will be implemented by the Oyo State Mobilisation Agency for Socio-Economic Development (OYMASED) in partnership with the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB).<\/p>\n
