In an effort to restore sanity and cleanliness to Lagos’ streets, operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps detained 12 miscreants following surveillance operations in numerous locations of the state.<\/p>\n
The decision comes after concerned people noted the threat and disturbance posed by miscreants and the homeless.<\/p>\n
Tokunbo Wahab, the state Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, confirmed this on Friday via X.com.<\/p>\n
Wahab wrote, \u201cActing on reports received from concerned citizens on the menace and nuisance caused by miscreants and destitute, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps #LAGESCOfficial (KAI) yesterday, deployed surveillance teams in some of the areas reported.<\/p>\n
\u201cFalomo in Ikoyi, Adeola Odeku and Sanusi Fafunwa in Victoria Island, Chisco, Ikate and Marwa, along Lekki-Ajah expressway, were monitored, leading to the arrest of 12 suspects; 10 adults and 2 minors.<\/p>\n
