Bello Matawalle, the minister of state for defense, has ordered the military to hunt down and prosecute the murders of Alhaji Isa Bawa, the deceased district head of Gatawa in the Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.<\/p>\n
The minister strongly denounced the horrific assassination of the monarch, calling it atrocious and reprehensible, in a statement released on Friday by the Ministry’s spokesperson, Henshaw Ogubike.<\/p>\n
He stated, “The death of Alhaji Isa Bawa of Gatawa District was a stupid and terrible act that would not be condoned.<\/p>\n
“We will do everything we can to hold those guilty accountable.<\/p>\n
“Consequent to this, Dr. Matawalle has directed the Chief of Defence Staff to immediately launch a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice,” the minister stated.
\nAccording to the Minister, President Bola Tinubu has “been giving full support to the military” as one of his main priorities.<\/p>\n
He gave the assurance that the Nigerian Armed Forces would stop at nothing to find and apprehend the people responsible for this horrible act.<\/p>\n
He pledged, “We will keep working nonstop to guarantee the safety and security of every Nigerian.”<\/p>\n
