A fire incident at the Samsung office located near Bannex Junction, adjacent to Eterna fuel station, has ignited public outrage due to the delayed response from firefighters and an ensuing confrontation between the crowd and emergency responders.<\/p>\n
According to eyewitnesses, the fire began around 7:30 pm on Monday. However, it wasn’t until approximately an hour later that firefighters arrived at the scene. During this delay, they faced a barrage of thrown stones from frustrated onlookers, as reported by Abuja City Journal.<\/p>\n
The situation became further heated, prompting the intervention of CSP Sani Jubril, the Divisional Police Officer for Maitama, who worked diligently to control the agitated crowd and restore order.<\/p>\n
Despite the urgency of the situation, officials from the Federal Emergency Management Authority (FEMA) present at the scene declined to provide comments to our reporter. They indicated their intention to release an official statement explaining the circumstances that led to the confrontations with the public.<\/p>\n
