PENGASSAN President, Comrade Festus Osifo, made this assurance during the opening address of the PENGASSAN Energy and Labour Summit (PEALS 2024) in Abuja.<\/p>\n
Osifo emphasized the significance of the summit in addressing the pressing challenges facing the oil and gas industry, including crude oil theft, energy security, artificial intelligence, divestment, and the future of the sector. He highlighted PENGASSAN’s role in combating crude oil theft through public advocacy and strategic collaborations within the industry.<\/p>\n
The summit, which runs from August 21 to 23, brings together industry experts and stakeholders to discuss critical issues shaping the future of Nigeria’s oil and gas industry. Osifo also expressed concern about broader economic challenges facing Nigeria, including the recent policy directions that have led to significant hardships for Nigerians. He commended recent government initiatives, such as the Executive Order signed by President Bola Tinubu, which grants incentives to investments in the oil and gas industry.<\/p>\n
