Ifeanyi Chukwu-Agah Benedict is the identity of the crossdresser whose body was discovered on the Katampe-Mabushi Expressway in Abuja, according to the Federal Capital Territory Police Command.<\/p>\n
The crossdresser, a 33-year-old male from Afikpo North Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, was identified by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Josephine Adeh, in a statement on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
The statement said, “Sequel to a case of culpable homicide and the finding of an unidentified male corpse previously mistaken for a girl on August 8, 2024, the operatives of the FCT Command have initiated a discreet inquiry as ordered by the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh.<\/p>\n
“Preliminary investigations revealed the deceased to be one Ifeanyi Chukwu-Agah Benedict, a ’33’ year old man who hails from Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State and resides at Dap\u00e9 in Karmo Area of Abuja.”<\/p>\n
The statement also stated that the deceased’s family has been notified and is providing the police with the information they need.<\/p>\n
The public was given the assurance by the leadership that any new information regarding the probe would be released when it was ready.<\/p>\n
It is known that on August 8, the hospital pronounced the male corpse\u2014who was previously thought to be female due to his women’s clothing\u2014dead and without any methods of identification.<\/p>\n
He was allegedly attacked at night on August 7 and his body was left on the road near Banex, Wuse II, in the Federal Capital Territory.<\/p>\n
