A 96-hour ultimatum has been issued by the Association of Nigerian Female Students (ANFS) to the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) for swift action in the probe of the killing of a female student from Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa.
\nThrough its National Headquarters, the ANFS called on the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, to ensure a thorough and transparent investigation into the incident.
\nIt was gathered that the victim was allegedly brutally killed by Promise Ogunse, the son of Prophet Adeniyi Adebayo, alias Ogunse, the General Overseer of the Light God of Miracle Embassy in Offa, Kwara State.
\nPrincess Omoniyi Omoniyi Alice, the National President, in a statement, said the heinous crime has devastated the college community and raised serious concerns about the safety and security of the students.
\nAccording to the statement: “I am writing to you on behalf of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, to request your urgent intervention in the tragic death of one of our students, Named AWESU MOJISOLA MORUFAT, With Matric no:CHT\/PHTEC\/21\/0914.
\n“This heinous crime has devastated our college community and raised serious concerns about the safety and security of our students.
\n“We are deeply concerned that this incident may reflect a broader pattern of violence against women and girls in our society.
\n“As you are well aware, the safety and security of our students is our top priority, and we take any threat to their well-being extremely seriously.
\n“We, therefore, urge you to conduct a thorough and swift investigation into this case, and to ensure that the perpetrators are held accountable for their actions.
\n“Furthermore, we call upon you to consider implementing measures to prevent such incidents from happening again, including enhanced security measures, increased education and awareness about gender-based violence, and strengthened enforcement of existing laws against violent crime,” she said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
