The Abuja International Carnival is poised to make a comeback this November after an eight-year break.<\/p>\n
The revival of the carnival was officially announced in a statement on Friday by the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, who highlighted the government\u2019s dedication to fostering cultural diversity.<\/p>\n
In a notable development, the Commissioner for Justice and Attorney-General of Ondo State, Dr. Kayode Ajulo, has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for the carnival.<\/p>\n
This role was conferred by the Abuja International Carnival Secretariat, in recognition of Ajulo\u2019s contributions to the economic, professional, and social development of Abuja, Nigeria\u2019s National Capital.<\/p>\n
As the newly appointed Carnival Goodwill Ambassador, Dr. Ajulo will play a pivotal role in promoting the Abuja International Carnival both locally and internationally. He will also provide strategic advice and guidance to enhance the carnival\u2019s reach, participation, and overall impact,\u201d the statement said<\/p>\n
The CEO\/Executive Director of the Abuja International Carnival, Kehinde Adegbite, also known as Mallam Yankee, expressed confidence that this year\u2019s edition will surpass all previous ones,<\/p>\n
Dr. Kayode Ajulo\u2019s leadership and influence are expected to significantly contribute to the success of the event, which is set to be one of the biggest cultural spectacles in Nigeria,\u201d the secretariat said.<\/p>\n
The last carnival was held in 2016, meanwhile, the carnival, scheduled for November 21st to 23rd, 2024, will feature a diverse array of activities, including street shows, musical concerts, boat regattas, Durbar, children\u2019s fiestas, exhibitions, and Masquerade displays<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
