Al-Muhibbah Open University in Abuja has launched a collaboration with international institutions and experts to upgrade its digital learning platforms and expand its educational reach. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Ahmad Garba, announced the initiative during the unveiling of the Students’ Career Services Unit.<\/p>\n
The collaboration aims to integrate 21st-century skills, such as effective communication, digital literacy, and collaboration, into the university’s curriculum. The university has developed a policy and career service courses to expose students to these skills throughout their studies.<\/p>\n
The launch featured renowned professors from international institutions, including Professor Mark Hill from Notre Dame University, Professor Renata from Central European University, and Professor Kofi Quashisah from the University of Ghana.<\/p>\n
The career service unit aims to address the issue of unemployability among Nigerian graduates by providing students with essential skills, such as responsible social media use, digital literacy, and job interview preparation.<\/p>\n
The collaboration will also facilitate academic exchanges, student exchanges, and online lectures, further enhancing the university’s commitment to providing world-class education.<\/p>\n
