Speaking at a book launch event for Prof. Modupe Adelabu’s book, “Navigating the Politics of Universal Education Policies in Nigeria,” Shettima pointed out that Nigeria’s educational problems are intricate and multidimensional, necessitating a team effort to resolve.He declared, “We have to collaborate to address the historical, cultural, and socioeconomic barriers that have prevented many Nigerians from accessing education.”<\/p>\n
“The President’s commitment to education is unwavering, and we must support him in this endeavor,” the Vice President said, praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts to improve the school system.<\/p>\n
Shettima also emphasized the value of education in empowering people and communities, stating that “if we want to build a prosperous and equitable society, we must prioritize education as it is the key to unlocking the potential of our citizens.”<\/p>\n
The cornerstone upon which we can erect a prosperous and just society is education. It is essential to fostering social mobility and realizing our folks’ potential.<\/p>\n
It is imperative that we acknowledge that education is a shared duty, and each of us has a part to play in making sure our kids get the best education possible.<\/p>\n
“The President’s National Education Transformation Plan is an audacious endeavor with the capacity to revolutionize our educational landscape. We have to throw everything at it.<\/p>\n
“We cannot bear to part from any child. All Nigerian children, irrespective of their circumstances or origin, should have access to high-quality education.<\/p>\n
“The engine of economic growth and development is education.” If we wish to create a competitive economy, we must make investments in the education sector.<\/p>\n
“We also need to acknowledge how crucial teacher welfare and training are. The foundation of our educational system is our teachers, who need our support in order to provide high-quality instruction.<\/p>\n
“In our schools, we have to foster a culture of learning and creativity. It is imperative that we foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity in our kids.<\/p>\n
“Social justice is a problem in education. Regardless of their upbringing or circumstances, we must make sure that every child in Nigeria has access to a high-quality education.<\/p>\n
“To confront the issues in education that our nation faces, we must collaborate. Notwithstanding our disagreements, we must assist the government in its attempts to raise the standard of education in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
Shettima also emphasized the necessity of Nigerians uniting behind the government’s initiatives to tackle the nation’s development obstacles.<\/p>\n
He declared, “To create a better future for ourselves and future generations, we must set aside our differences and work together.”<\/p>\n
