The initiative, announced by Commissioner for Health Prof. Akin Abayomi, seeks to establish a structured, regulated, equitable, and sustainable health insurance scheme inclusive of all Lagosians.<\/p>\n
The Lagos State Social Health Insurance Scheme, known as Ilera Eko, is managed by the Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) and aligns with the National Health Insurance Authority Act 2022. The scheme provides a social safety net with equitable components aimed at achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC).<\/p>\n
