Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged the Nigerian Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) to prioritize transparency, accountability, and quality service delivery for the benefit of the people. He made this call during a courtesy visit by the NSITF Managing Director, Oluwaseun Faleye, and the Senate Committee on Employment, Labour and Productivity at the Lagos House, Ikeja.<\/p>\n
Governor Sanwo-Olu highlighted the state government’s comprehensive insurance package for its workforce and expressed his administration’s willingness to collaborate with the NSITF to achieve its objectives. He emphasized the importance of exploring the benefits of the Fund for workers and Lagos residents.<\/p>\n
Senator Dicket Plang, Chairman of the Senate Committee, reiterated the National Assembly’s commitment to ensuring the NSITF performs its functions effectively, providing protection and compensation for employees and employers in both public and private sectors.<\/p>\n
The NSITF Managing Director, Oluwaseun Faleye, explained that the organization was in Lagos for a two-day retreat aimed at deepening stakeholders’ engagement and leveraging legislative support.<\/p>\n
