Google packed its Made By Google \u201924 event into just over an hour, unveiling seven distinct hardware models, led by the Pixel 9 Pro. Here\u2019s a rundown of all the major announcements.<\/p>\n

Expanded Pixel Line-Up<\/p>\n

Google typically introduces two new flagship Pixel phones, but this year\u2019s event showcased three regular Pixel 9 models. The Pixel 9 replaces the Pixel 8, while the Pro series now includes the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. The Pixel 9 Pro is a smaller version of the XL, offering identical specs in a more compact design.<\/p>\n

All three devices are powered by the new Tensor G4 chip. The Pixel 9 and 9 Pro feature 6.3-inch OLED displays, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 6.8-inch display, all significantly brighter than their predecessors. The new flat-edged design replaces the iconic camera visor with a wide, oval-shaped camera island. Additionally, Google introduced a satellite SOS feature for emergency calls without cellular connection.<\/p>\n

Prices have increased across the board, with the Pixel 9 starting at \u00a3799, the Pixel 9 Pro XL at \u00a31,099, and the Pixel 9 Pro at \u00a3999.<\/p>\n

Second Generation Pixel Fold<\/p>\n

In addition to the three Pixel 9 models, Google also introduced the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, a follow-up to its debut foldable phone. The Fold features a refined design, sharing the flat-edged look and camera island with the rest of the Pixel 9 range.<\/p>\n

The Fold boasts a massive 8-inch internal display\u2014the largest on any phone\u2014alongside a 6.3-inch cover display. Both screens are brighter than before, and the device is powered by the Tensor G4 chip. Pricing remains unchanged, starting at \u00a31,749.<\/p>\n

AI-Powered Features<\/p>\n

The new Pixel devices come with enhanced software, although they won\u2019t ship with Android 15, which is set to launch in a few weeks. Key additions include Pixel Screenshots, which automatically arranges and extracts text from screenshots, and Pixel Studio, allowing users to generate AI images based on text prompts.<\/p>\n

Google also announced the upcoming Gemini Live feature for Gemini Advanced subscribers, enabling fluid conversations with the AI assistant and the ability to change topics seamlessly. Users can choose from 10 different voices for the assistant.<\/p>\n

Pixel Watch 3<\/p>\n

Google expanded its smartwatch offerings with the Pixel Watch 3, now available in a larger 45mm size alongside the 41mm option. The watch features slimmer bezels, increasing the screen space by 10% on the smaller model, with brightness reaching up to 2,000 nits.<\/p>\n

A new ultra-wideband chip enhances precision location in Google\u2019s Find My Device network. Health and fitness features include full run analysis and the ability to detect when your pulse stops, automatically contacting emergency services. The Pixel Watch 3 starts at \u00a3349, maintaining the same price as the Pixel Watch 2.<\/p>\n

Pixel Buds Pro 2<\/p>\n

Lastly, Google unveiled its second-generation flagship earphones, the Pixel Buds Pro 2. The new wing tipped design improves fit, while the smaller and lighter build enhances comfort. The Buds feature new 11mm drivers and a dedicated Tensor A1 chip, which significantly boosts active noise cancellation (ANC).
