X Premium and Premium+ subscribers can access two new models: Grok-2 and Grok-2 Mini.<\/p>\n<p>The latest Grok AI model can now generate images directly on X. Elon Musk\u2019s AI venture, xAI, announced that both Grok-2 and Grok-2 Mini are in beta for paying users.<\/p>\n<p>These models will also power new AI-driven features on X, including advanced search, deeper post insights, and enhanced reply functions. Additionally, xAI plans to introduce multimodal understanding as a key component of the Grok experience.<\/p>\n<p>Early user-generated images show Grok\u2019s new feature operating without filters, particularly regarding political figures, leading to provocative content. However, the lack of restrictions could turn Grok into a tool for spreading misinformation. It\u2019s also unclear if the images include metadata to indicate they aren\u2019t real.<\/p>\n<p>With the US presidential election approaching, X may face pressure to limit these features.
