The Commissioner of Police in Kano State, Salman Dogo Garba, has called on 181 newly promoted officers to enhance their efforts in combating crime across the state. The officers, who were recently elevated from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II), were part of the promotions announced by the Police Service Commission on July 29, 2024.<\/p>\n
In a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Abdullahi Haruna, it was reported that the newly promoted officers were decorated by CP Salman Garba on August 13, 2024. The Commissioner congratulated the officers and their families, emphasizing the significance of dedication, professionalism, and maintaining a clean record in achieving such career advancements.<\/p>\n
CP Garba also expressed his gratitude to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, the Police Service Commission, and the Force management team for their roles in facilitating the promotions.<\/p>\n
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, ASP Jacob Yadume assured the Command of their unwavering commitment to performing their duties with professionalism and in strict adherence to the rule of law.<\/p>\n
