Speaking at a bid opening ceremony for the renovation and construction of 46 roads covering 738.9 km, Dr. Kasim explained that measures have been put in place to verify and authenticate all documents presented by companies. He urged contractors to use genuine documents from reputable financial institutions, warning that failure to do so would result in blacklisting.<\/p>\n
The Director General also emphasized the need for contractors to meet all contractual obligations, including timely completion of projects. He assured contractors that the Due Process and Projects Monitoring Bureau would protect their rights, including ensuring timely payment and fulfilling government obligations for awarded contracts.<\/p>\n
In a related development, the Permanent Secretary of Jigawa State Ministry of Works and Transport, Qs Ahmad Isa, announced that the state government has opened bids for the major renovation and reconstruction of 42 roads, totaling over 738.9 km, at a cost of N222.7 billion.
