Former Crystal Palace forward, Clinton Morrison has faulted Chelsea\u2019s decision to offer Cole Palmer another two-year contract.<\/p>\n
The new deal sees Palmer extend his previous contract at Stamford Bridge by a further two years as a significant reward for a stellar debut season. The commitment means he is now on a nine-year deal with improved terms at the club.<\/p>\n
The 22-year-old England forward, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City on September 1 last year, had an excellent 2023\u201324 season where he scored 22 times and bagged 33 goal contributions.<\/p>\n
However, reacting to the development, Morrison in an interview with Sky Sports stated that the Blues could be making a big mistake with their decision.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhy would they give him a nine-year deal then?\u201d
\n\u201cBecause they don\u2019t know what they\u2019re doing! I\u2019m not being horrible but you\u2019re talking about nine years! How can you tell how he\u2019s going to be in nine years?<\/p>\n
