Kyari made this appeal during a meeting with Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Christopher Musa and senior military officers at the NNPC Towers in Abuja on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Kyari praised the military’s role in enhancing security around Nigeria’s critical oil infrastructure, which has led to a notable increase in production. \u201cWe have reached a new peak in production not seen in the past three years, directly attributable to the persistent efforts of the armed forces and other security agencies,\u201d Kyari stated. He highlighted the significant impact of these efforts on safeguarding pipeline infrastructure and boosting production levels.<\/p>\n
Expressing his appreciation for General Musa\u2019s leadership and his team’s dedication, Kyari emphasized the importance of these achievements not just for Nigeria, but for the global energy sector as well. He voiced strong confidence in the CDS and his team to effectively tackle security challenges and continue advancing the nation’s crude oil production.<\/p>\n
General Musa, in his remarks, described the visit as an introduction of the new Monitoring Team to NNPC Ltd. This team will play a crucial role in liaising with the company and other stakeholders to ensure the security of Nigeria\u2019s hydrocarbon infrastructure.<\/p>\n
The CDS reaffirmed the military’s commitment to enhancing security measures and optimizing the performance of his troops.
