Niger State’s Acting Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has expressed his appreciation to all stakeholders and residents of the state for their restraint during the recent nationwide protests over hunger and hardship.<\/p>\n

In a broadcast addressing the aftermath of the protests, Garba acknowledged the residents’ commitment to unity and constructive dialogue as essential to the progress and development of the state.<\/p>\n

“Your commitment to unity, mutual respect, and constructive dialogue is not just commendable, but it is the very essence of our collective dedication to the progress and development of Niger State,” he stated.<\/p>\n

The acting governor also extended his gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, other security agency leaders, and the vigilante group for their efforts in maintaining peace and stability in the state during this period. He emphasized that their dedication was crucial in upholding the collective resolve of the people.<\/p>\n

Garba additionally thanked the media and journalists in Niger State for their role in promoting government initiatives, which he noted has been instrumental in the state’s development.<\/p>\n

He reassured residents of the government’s commitment to conveying their concerns and aspirations to President Bola Tinubu, ensuring that their voices are heard at the national level. He emphasized that the state government is eager to engage with the Federal Government to address the challenges facing both the state and the nation.<\/p>\n
