Grammy-winning Nigerian sensation Tems has released the music video for her single ‘Burning’, a track from her debut album ‘Born In the Wild’. The video, initially delayed due to nationwide protests in Nigeria, premiered on August 5, 2024.<\/p>\n
The protests, which began on August 1, were a response to economic hardship and the cost of living crisis following President Bola Tinubu’s reforms. Demonstrators demanded a reversal of fuel and power subsidy removals and reduced governance costs.<\/p>\n
Shot in New York’s iconic Times Square, the video features Tems performing ‘Burning’, the third single from her 18-track album. The album has already spawned hits like ‘Me & U’ and ‘Love Me Jeje’, which samples Seyi Sodimu & Shaffy Bello’s classic song.<\/p>\n
