The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) UK Chapter has strongly condemned a scheduled protest by supporters of Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar against President Bola Tinubu, asserting that the planned demonstration in London is ill-conceived.<\/p>\n
Mr. Tunde Doherty, who serves as both the Chairman of the chapter and the APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen, voiced his concerns during an interview with PM News on Friday. He felt it was imperative to respond to recent allegations and statements made by a group led by Aisha Yesufu, an activist associated with the Labour Party.<\/p>\n
Doherty stated, “It has come to our attention that this group, a merger of Peter Obi and Atiku supporters, is organizing a protest in London to disseminate unfounded claims regarding the educational qualifications of President Bola Tinubu.”<\/p>\n
“We firmly believe our responsibility is to address this matter and underscore the importance of relying on substantiated facts rather than premature and unsubstantiated allegations.”<\/p>\n
Highlighting President Bola Tinubu’s long and distinguished history of serving Nigeria, Doherty emphasized Tinubu’s unwavering commitment to the country’s welfare and its people throughout his career.<\/p>\n
Doherty continued, “The allegations of forged certificates not only lack concrete evidence but also undermine the spirit of democracy and fair political discourse that we hold dear.”<\/p>\n
