Engineer Michael Oluwagbemi, the Programme Director of P-CNGi, unveiled this groundbreaking revelation during the official inauguration of the Abuja Conversion Centre for CNG at the esteemed National Institute for Transport Technology (NITT).<\/p>\n
Oluwagbemi passionately expounded, stating, “Every instance of gas utilization contributes to job opportunities in Nigeria, and in conjunction with this, it promises affordability and dependability.”<\/p>\n
A pivotal component of this transformation hinges on the removal of fuel subsidies, a policy shift that once posed a dire threat to Nigeria’s economic stability. This reform has now paved the way for the reconstruction of Nigeria’s transportation sector, transitioning away from heavy reliance on foreign-imported Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) and diesel. As Engineer Oluwagbemi eloquently puts it, the previous dependency amounted to “importing poverty while exporting jobs.”<\/p>\n
