The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State, Dr. Kingsley Ononogbu, declared that the party’s leadership will not tolerate any attempts to create factions within the chapter.<\/p>\n
During a caucus and stakeholders meeting in Umuahia, Ononogbu emphasized that any such attempts would be addressed according to the party’s constitution. The meeting served as a platform to review activities related to the 2023 general elections and to strategize for 2027.<\/p>\n
He stressed the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots level and maintaining unity. “Abia State chapter of the APC is one united family. There\u2019s no faction whatsoever in the chapter,” he stated, urging members to ensure the party’s success in future elections.<\/p>\n
Stakeholders at the meeting pledged their loyalty to both the national and state leaderships and committed to working towards victory in the 2027 elections. A seven-point communique read by former House of Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Martin Azubuike called for unity, forgiveness, and reconciliation among party members. The communique was endorsed by prominent party figures, including Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon.
