The post has called for a widespread #IgboMustGo protest scheduled from August 20th to 30th, 2024.<\/p>\n<p>in a statement signed by Gboyega Akosile, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Sanwo-Olu firmly disassociates himself and the Lagos State Government from these inflammatory and dangerous messages. He emphasizes that Lagos is a home for all Nigerians, regardless of ethnic background, and such rhetoric is harmful and divisive. The Governor views the post as a deliberate attempt to disrupt the harmony between the Yoruba people and other ethnic groups, particularly those who have made Lagos their permanent residence.<\/p>\n<p>In light of this, Governor Sanwo-Olu appeals to Lagosians to remain vigilant and not let any individual or group incite discord in the state.
