Veteran Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has denied rumors that he has left the Labour Party, insisting that he remains a full-fledged member.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Arise Television’s Prime Time program on Tuesday, Okonkwo expressed surprise at the claims, stating, “First of all, let me say I am embarrassed by your comment. I am just hearing it from your media station that I dumped the Labour Party. I am still a full-fledged member of the Labour Party.”<\/p>\n

When directly asked if he was still affiliated with the Labour Party, he affirmed, “Yes, absolutely.”<\/p>\n

Okonkwo acknowledged that while there is a crisis within the party, particularly related to the National Working Committee’s (NWC) failure to organize an all-inclusive convention, this has not affected his membership. He emphasized the need for decisive leadership within the party, in line with court judgments and previous agreements.<\/p>\n

Despite expressing dissatisfaction with certain aspects of Mr. Peter Obi’s leadership, including his approach to addressing national issues and electoral challenges, Okonkwo reiterated his commitment to the party.
