<\/p>\nEarlier today, Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, in collaboration with the office of the wife of Oyo State Governor, distributed 1,750 bags of rice to vulnerable and less privileged individuals across 33 local government areas in Oyo State. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to mitigate the impact of hunger.<\/p>\n

The distribution event, held in Ibadan, the state capital, aimed to provide relief to those affected by current economic hardships. Mrs. Tinubu, represented by the wife of the Oyo State Governor, Mrs. Tamunominini Makinde, emphasized that the “Renewed Hope Initiative Women Agriculture Support, Education, and Social Investment Programme” is part of the federal government’s commitment to alleviating poverty and hunger.<\/p>\n

“The federal government is committed to ensuring that no Nigerian goes to bed hungry,” said Mrs. Makinde during the distribution. She urged beneficiaries to make good use of the rice and expressed hopes for an improvement in the country’s economic situation.<\/p>\n
Previously, Mrs. Tinubu had also distributed thousands of free notebooks to students in public schools across the state. This rice distribution is part of a broader nationwide initiative by the First Lady to support Nigerians facing hunger and poverty.<\/p>\n
