He invited the private sector, investors, civil society, and the global sports community to collaborate with the administration in realizing the economic potential of sports in Nigeria, which he deemed one of the most consequential transformations of the 21st century.<\/p>\n<p>To facilitate this transformation, Senator Enoh stated that the Ministry of Sports Development, under his leadership, is committed to implementing the National Sports Industry Policy (NSIP) with attractive incentives for investors. He expressed regret over missed opportunities and inaction that had squandered the immense potential of the sports sector for wealth creation, employment generation, and contributions to the nation&#8217;s GDP.<\/p>\n<p>The minister assured prospective investors and Nigerians that his ministry would create a conducive environment for sports to flourish, not just as a recreational activity but as a legitimate business endeavor. He reiterated the government&#8217;s commitment to fully implement the policy document and harness the transformative capacity of sports for the economic development of the country.<\/p>\n<p>Senator Enoh underscored the unifying role of sports as a connective force that binds people together and described it as a universally acclaimed unifying power. He emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu&#8217;s commitment to transforming the sports sector, which led to the establishment of the Ministry of Sports Development as a separate entity.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to implementing policies and programs aimed at grassroots sports development through institutions like the National Sports Festival (NSF), National Youth Games, and Sports Development Centers, Senator Enoh outlined key focus areas for his ministry.
