In a move seen as a testament to competence, patience, and loyalty, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Prince Dayo Adeyeye as the Chairman of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA). The appointment, which has been widely celebrated, recognizes Adeyeye’s unwavering support and commitment to Tinubu’s presidency, despite facing persecution and betrayal from within and outside the party.

Adeyeye’s appointment is a culmination of his tireless efforts in rallying support for Tinubu’s presidential ambitions, particularly during the 2020 ENDSARS crisis. He founded the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), a movement that gained momentum and strengthened Tinubu’s support base across the country.

Despite being omitted from the ministerial list, Adeyeye continued to demonstrate his loyalty and commitment to Tinubu’s administration. His appointment as NPA Chairman is seen as a well-deserved recognition of his contributions and a major milestone in Tinubu’s administration.

With a diverse career spanning journalism, law, and politics, Adeyeye brings a wealth of experience to his new role. His appointment is an acknowledgement of the dedication and hard work of SWAGA members across the country, who played a crucial role in shaping the polity for Tinubu’s benefit.

The celebration that followed Adeyeye’s appointment is a testament to the significance of this move and the high level of expectations from political leaders and Nigerians at large. As Adeyeye takes on his new role, he is expected to bring his expertise and experience to bear in driving the success of the NPA and Tinubu’s administration.
