The Kano State Government has given the green light for the disbursement of N29 billion to complete various ongoing capital projects across the state. This significant investment is expected to drive progress and development in key sectors, enhancing the quality of life for citizens and fostering economic growth in the region.<\/p>\n
The approvals were\u00a0given\u00a0at the state Executive Council Meeting presided over by Governor Abba Yusuf in Kano.<\/p>\n
This is contained in a statement issued by the Director-General, Media and Publicity, on Wednesday in Kano, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa.<\/p>\n
According to him, the council approved the release of N7.7 billion for continuation of dualisation of five kilometre road across the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.<\/p>\n
The council also approved the sum of N239 million for construction of three rural roads at Ja\u2019en Makera-Salanta Gudduba-Unguwar Baizangon Guliya and Fagoje-Kwanar Zuwo in Gwale, Ajingi and Kiru\/Madobi LGAs.<\/p>\n
Mr Dawakin-Tofa said, \u201cThere was also an approval for the procurement of 500 relief transformers to be distributed to various communities across the 44 local government areas in the state at the sum of N7.1 billion. It also approved the sum of N6.4 billion for the 2024 Constituency Projects in the state. Part of the council\u2019s resolutions include approval for construction of 2-coat surface dressed road from Kwanar Gammawa in Gezawa LGA\u00a0at the cost of N343 million.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
He said there was also an approval for N819 million for the procurement of 20 Toyota Hilux and One Toyota Bus for Ministries, Departments and Agencies.<\/p>\n
He stated, \u201cThe council also approved N5.3 billion for the construction of rural roads, intervention and counterpart funds under rural access and agricultural marketing projects. Part of the approval was N26 million for renovation and conversion of offices for the Chairman Anti-Phone snatching Task Force Committee at Coronation Hall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
