Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has firmly refuted allegations of any wrongdoing that would merit his impeachment by the Rivers State House of Assembly. Addressing his supporters at the Assembly Complex on Monday, the governor ardently defended his innocence and pledged to deliver on the promises of democracy to the people of the state.<\/p>\n
Governor Fubara emphasized his desire for transparency and urged his detractors to present their case to the public. He declared, “Let them come out and tell Rivers people the offence I have committed to warrant any impeachment.” In doing so, he sought to challenge those who had raised questions about his conduct.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, Governor Fubara assured the citizens of Rivers State that they would continue to receive the full benefits of democracy during his tenure. He vowed to remain dedicated to this cause, asserting, “Let me assure the people of Rivers that I will continue to ensure that you get the dividends of democracy.”<\/p>\n
