In a statement released on Wednesday, State Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, dismissed the news as false and attributed it to mischief makers attempting to mislead residents. He urged the public to disregard these claims and continue with their regular activities, confirming that there will be no movement restrictions on the last Saturday of July.<\/p>\n

Wahab clarified that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, during a recent sanitation sensitization event, had only announced the initiation of a weekly community-based sensitization and awareness exercise involving all residents. State officials will actively participate in these exercises to encourage residents to maintain cleanliness voluntarily, not under a mandated monthly schedule.<\/p>\n
