Ekene Adams"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Labour Party (LP) has expressed profound sadness over the death of Ekene Adams, a federal lawmaker representing Chikun\/Kajuru Federal Constituency in Kaduna State. Adams passed away on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued by Obiora Ifoh, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, LP National Chairman Barrister Julius Abure described Adams as a &#8220;star lawmaker.&#8221; Abure highlighted Adams&#8217; role as Chairman of the House Committee on Sports and noted his invaluable contributions both in the National Assembly and within the Labour Party.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Abure&#8217;s statement read, \u201cOn the floor of the National Assembly, he was a notable voice and had defended the voiceless through his motions. He also offered great advice to me in party affairs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Labour Party extends its condolences to Adams&#8217; immediate family, the Chikun\/Kajuru Federal Constituency, the Kaduna State government, and the nation.
