This was driven by its strategic focus on flagship models and a strong AI strategy. Apple finished the quarter in second place with a 15.8% share, showing improved performance in China and other key regions. Both companies experienced modest year-over-year growth.<\/p>\n<p>Xiaomi placed third in Q2 2024 with a 14.8% share, while Vivo and OPPO tied for the fourth position with 9.1% and 9.0% shares, respectively. IDC noted that although Q2 shipments marked the fourth consecutive quarter of growth, demand remains challenged in many markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile recovery is underway, with the top 5 companies all making year-over-year gains, there is increasing competition among the leaders and a polarisation of price bands. As Apple and Samsung continue to benefit from the premiumization trend, many leading Chinese OEMs are increasing shipments of low-end devices to capture volume share amidst weak demand.
