Sanwo-Olu made this remark in a statement congratulating the literary icon on his upcoming 90th birthday.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the statement, Sanwo-Olu described Soyinka as a patriot and a pride of Nigeria and Africa. Prof. Soyinka, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986, will turn 90 on Saturday, July 13.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>According to a congratulatory message from Sanwo-Olu\u2019s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, the governor extolled Soyinka&#8217;s contributions to literature, academics, and governance worldwide.
