The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) held its annual anti-corruption walk yesterday, with Chairman Ola Olukoyede leading the charge.<\/p>\n
The event aimed to promote whistleblowing and encourage Nigerians to take an active role in reporting economic and financial crimes.<\/p>\n
Olukoyede stressed the importance of collective action in tackling corruption and urged citizens to join the fight.<\/p>\n
The walk, which took place in the FCT, was attended by EFCC directors, including former spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren, and staff members.<\/p>\n
The walk, commemorating 2024 AU Anti-corruption Day, also happened simultaneously in states like Abuja; the day was marked by a colourful Road Walk by EFCC staff and other stakeholders in the anti-corruption corridor.<\/p>\n
Amidst dancing, singing, and exhilarating clarions, Olukoyede led the walk from the EFCC\u2019s Wuse 2 Zonal office through the streets of Maitama and terminated it at the Unity Fountain.<\/p>\n
It is usually a period during which the anti-graft agency raises awareness about the dangers of corruption in the country.<\/p>\n
