Previously, the Nigeria Ethnic Nationality Youth Leaders Council Worldwide had issued a one-week ultimatum demanding the resignation of Mele Kyari, the Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited (NNPCL). Despite the ultimatum expiring today, Kyari remains in office.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The scarcity has led to widespread fuel shortages, with long queues forming at the few stations still dispensing fuel. This situation has prompted youth leaders to urge President Bola Tinubu\u2019s government to address the crisis immediately.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a statement released on Tuesday by Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, the group\u2019s Publicity Secretary, the youth leaders voiced their concerns over the continued suffering of Nigerians due to fuel scarcity. They criticized the inefficiency despite promises made following the subsidy removal, highlighting that many Nigerians are struggling to find fuel, with some unable to go to work due to the scarcity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is inconceivable that fuel scarcity has returned to Nigeria, even on a large scale, to such an extent that workers find it difficult to go to work,\u201d Okwu stated. He added that the youth, and indeed all Nigerians, are running out of patience with the current situation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The youth leaders reiterated their call for the removal of Mele Kyari from his position as NNPCL MD.
