Nigerian singer Victony has opened up about his ongoing journey to understand what it means to be in love. During his guest appearance on the latest episode of the “Is This Seat Taken?” podcast, hosted by Chinasa Anukam, the 23-year-old artist candidly discussed his music, cherished childhood memories, and his quest to grasp the concept of love.<\/p>\n
When Chinasa asked, “Have you ever been in love? What is love to you?” Victony admitted that he is still grappling with the idea and remains uncertain about its true meaning.<\/p>\n
“I’m a young man; I’m figuring it out,” he confessed. “I’m still trying to know what it means; I’ll put it that way. What does love mean? What does it mean to be in love? I’m still asking myself those questions. So when I’m with a girl, I ask myself, ‘Am I in love or not?'”<\/p>\n
Chinasa further probed into his personal life by asking, “When was the last time you kissed someone?” Victony responded with laughter, “You’re intruding into my privacy. I have not kissed anyone this year, so maybe last year in December.”<\/p>\n
Addressing his music, Chinasa inquired, “As a Nigerian man who lives in Lagos and predominantly makes love songs, how often are you lying in your music?”<\/p>\n
Victony explained, “With the love songs? Not too often; I don’t even lie because every time I make a love song, that’s how I feel in that moment toward someone. I may feel different the next day because I don’t know if it’s love or not.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
