The Minister of State for Health, Dr. Tunji Alausa, on Friday commissioned a state-of-the-art maternity ward at Aramoko General Hospital, Aramoko Ekiti. The facility was built by Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji and his siblings in memory of their late mother, Mrs. Esther Bosede Oyebanji.<\/p>\n

During the event, Dr. Alausa praised the Governor’s dedication to improving healthcare facilities in Ekiti State. He emphasized that healthcare is a fundamental right that should not be compromised by political decisions. The Minister also highlighted President Tinubu\u2019s renewed hope agenda, which aims to deliver quality healthcare services to grassroots communities, ensuring every Nigerian has access to quality care regardless of their location.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe maternity centre is a testament to what is achievable when leaders are filled with passion and a desire to give back to their community,\u201d Dr. Alausa stated. He commended Governor Oyebanji and his siblings for their commitment to raising healthcare standards in Aramoko Ekiti through the newly built maternity ward, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.<\/p>\n

Governor Oyebanji explained that he and his siblings decided to establish the maternity ward to honor their late mother and address the deficit in skilled birth deliveries at the hospital. He noted that the facility aims to reduce maternal and infant mortality by ensuring safe deliveries and healthy growth for children.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis facility is equipped with the latest technology and professional staff, offering comprehensive services from prenatal care to pediatric and emergency services. Our goal is to ensure that every mother can enjoy a safe childbirth experience, allowing their children to grow to their full potential,\u201d Governor Oyebanji said.<\/p>\n

The Governor also emphasized that the project was fully funded by himself and his siblings, with no state finances involved. He called on the community to support his administration in building a stronger, healthier, and more compassionate society.<\/p>\n

Chief Biodun Ilori, speaking on behalf of the Alara of Aramoko Ekiti and the town’s residents, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his commitment to the community. He acknowledged the significance of the project and its lasting impact.<\/p>\n
