Muhammad Tijani has revealed the reason behind his decision to join Sky Bet Championship club Plymouth Argyle.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old will spend the 2024\/25 season on loan with Plymouth Argyle.
\nThe former Flying Eagles striker moved to England after spending one season with Czech Republic outfit, Slavia Prague.<\/p>\n
Tijani stated that he took the decision to link up with Argyle after talks with head coach, Wayne Rooney.
\n\u201cActually, he [Wayne Rooney] did. He is a football legend not only in England but in the whole world. He plays like a striker also [like me]. [So] I think it is a good move for me, that\u2019s why I took the deal,\u201d Tijani told ojbsports.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe really influenced the move, because when he called I was like \u2018wow! Look who is calling, it\u2019s Wayne Rooney.\u2019 I was shocked. I had to ask my agent, \u2018are you sure it\u2019s him?\u2019 He said, \u2018yes, it\u2019s him, of course, just take the call,\u2019 and then we spoke, and it was very good.\u201d<\/p>\n
