Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has directed security agents to initiate a comprehensive manhunt for the kidnappers responsible for Sunday’s abduction along the Sagamu-Ijebu Ode Expressway.<\/p>\n

The victims, including foreign nationals who had just arrived in Nigeria, were kidnapped between the Sagamu Area Command of the Nigeria Police and Ilisan township. One of the victims, shot in the knee, managed to escape.<\/p>\n

Security sources suggest that the kidnapping was an insider job, as the victims were likely trailed to the location. In response, Governor Abiodun vowed that Ogun State would not become a haven for kidnappers and promised that the culprits would be apprehended and punished.<\/p>\n

In a statement on Tuesday, Abiodun assured residents that all security agencies, including the police, army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Amotekun, So Safe Corps, and local hunters, are actively pursuing the kidnappers using advanced security gadgets, including drones.<\/p>\n

Abiodun said, \u201cFollowing Sunday\u2019s kidnapping incident that occurred in Ilishan, we want to reassure all residents that decisive action is being taken to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure the safe return of the victims.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe security forces have launched a comprehensive manhunt and are working tirelessly to track down the kidnappers. Additional security measures and patrols have also been deployed to the affected area and across the state to prevent any further incidents.\u201d<\/p>\n
