He highlighted the reorganization of Northern political forces, possibly using former President Buhari as a figurehead to challenge Tinubu\u2019s government.<\/p>\n
He warned that such efforts could incite significant unrest, considering Tinubu\u2019s strong support base in the North. Sani stated, “Buhari was in power for eight years without serious Southern opposition attempting to remove him. Before seeking power, we must prioritize the nation\u2019s unity and peace. Nigeria remains fragile.”<\/p>\n
He posed a critical question: “What if Southern politicians unite against Northern dominance? There would be no Nigeria.” Sani urged Northern leaders to sacrifice personal ambitions for 2027, supporting a Southern presidency for national harmony. He argued that the North could justifiably seek power after Tinubu\u2019s potential second term or another Southerner\u2019s tenure.<\/p>\n
Sani criticized the Northern leadership during Buhari\u2019s administration, stating, “The North had eight years in power but failed to address regional issues, leaving the region worse off.” He concluded by urging policies and programs beneficial to the entire nation, rather than pursuing divisive power struggles.<\/p>\n
