The Adatan Divisional Police have apprehended a suspected ritualist for unlawfully possessing a human head.<\/p>\n
The police said that a resident of Iyana Cele Car Wash, Abeokuta, Nojeem Balogun, on June 24, 2024, at about 03:30 pm, reported a gruesome finding at his late father\u2019s grave in Isale Itoko, Abeokuta.<\/p>\n
Balogun reported to the police that his siblings had alerted him to suspicious activities at the burial site the previous day.<\/p>\n
The grave upon investigation, was found to have been desecrated, and the victim\u2019s head had been severed.<\/p>\n
According to the police, its officers, led by the Divisional Police Officer, swung into action and apprehended one Lekan Akinyemi, the prime suspect.<\/p>\n
The suspect was caught red handed with the human head.<\/p>\n
The suspect had dug up the grave and severed the head, allegedly for ritual purposes.<\/p>\n
The case has been transferred to the Anti-Robbery unit for thorough investigation and will subsequently be handed over to the State CID for prosecution.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
