The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, has declared that the party is now stronger and more unified, positioning itself for victory in the upcoming governorship election.<\/p>\n
Adetimehin lauded the recent reconciliation between Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and Chief Olusola Oke, describing it as a monumental achievement in the party\u2019s history. Speaking at a meeting with journalists, he emphasized that this reconciliation is crucial for the state\u2019s progress ahead of the 2024 governorship election, underscoring the significance of solidarity and unity within the party.<\/p>\n
“The reconciliation between Governor Aiyedatiwa and Chief Oke marks a significant milestone for our party. This unity move is vital for our success in the forthcoming election,” Adetimehin stated. He commended Chief Olusola Oke for his maturity and composure throughout the reconciliation process, noting that Oke’s actions demonstrate his genuine commitment to the party’s success.<\/p>\n
“Oke has shown his dedication to the party by integrating his political structure into the APC, ensuring the progress and cohesion of our party. I assure his supporters that they will be treated fairly and equally as valued members of the APC,” Adetimehin affirmed.<\/p>\n
He appealed to other aggrieved party members and aspirants to follow Oke’s example and remain within the APC rather than defecting to other parties. Adetimehin extended an olive branch to the party\u2019s suspended members, announcing the immediate lifting of their suspensions and urging them to avoid anti-party activities. He called on them to join efforts in strengthening the party as they gear up for the governorship election slated for November 16, 2024.<\/p>\n
“The lifting of suspensions is a call to unity. We need all hands on deck to ensure our victory in the upcoming election. Let\u2019s move forward together, focused on the challenges and ready to bring positive change to our state and country,” Adetimehin urged.<\/p>\n
The APC chieftain assured the people of Ondo State that the current administration is fully prepared to address the challenges facing the state and the nation.
