In a letter addressed to Tinubu and shared with the press on Thursday, Clark highlighted grievances where Buhari purportedly marginalized the South-East in major appointments and funding allocations. He expressed apprehension that similar tendencies were emerging under Tinubu’s leadership.<\/p>\n
Clark cited examples of alleged exclusion, such as the composition of the NNPC board under Buhari, which he claimed had minimal representation from the South-East despite its oil-producing states. He also criticized loan allocations and security chief appointments that reportedly favored northern regions over the South-East.<\/p>\n
Concerned about ongoing disparities, Clark pointed out what he perceives as continued discrimination against the Igbo during Tinubu’s tenure. He underscored a significant disparity in ministerial appointments between the South-West and the South-East, urging immediate corrective action.<\/p>\n
Calling for urgent national restructuring, Clark emphasized the necessity of implementing the recommendations from the 2014 National Conference Report, which addresses comprehensive reforms across Nigeria.<\/p>\n
